It was a child from the nearby primary school who pointed out to the vicar of the Agneskerk the symbol of the Cambuur logo in the church. The little boy was on a tour of the church and immediately recognised the red stag lying in gold on the Cammingha family coat of arms, the founders of Leeuwarden, and shouted enthusiastically: ‘Are you fans too?’ This forms the starting point of a theatrical search for more possible connections between the Agneskerk and SC Cambuur.
The public moves in procession through the church on the way to the lawn below the tower. Here unfolds an animated story about roots, religion and football. It woanskip, the club song of Cambuur football club, sounds from the church organ, the red stag comes to life and the Camminghas are resurrected on the green battlefield of the shared history. A surprising theatre event on location by the three young creators of Skoft & Skiep theatre collective with the communities of Goutum and SC Cambuur.
